Hi dani,

Your DMP will ask you about your smoking habits....when did you begin, what is the frequency, did you ever quit, do you have any discomfort etc...these are routine questions. And if you have been smoking for an unusually long time which may have some implications on other organ systems then you might be asked for additional tests.

Smoking pot is not a criteria for deportation. You will first have to get your PR and only then you can apply for citizenship after couple of years.

No...you will not get deported because of traces of pot in your blood.

chances of deportion but not based on medical exam, But based on he/she is taking marijuana drugs. if he/she caught by police belive me this will be proceed for your deportion, this is the criminal activity you are doing in canada, thats completely against security of Canadian citizens.

Thanks, dani20071. Nope, no problem at all. Sorry for misunderstanding at first from my side. All the best, friend!!!

@ Omm and mycan....lets not confuse our young newbie...I completely agree with your opinions.

I am sure he is aware that having drugs is illegal and punishable and hence his question regarding his impending Medical test. And to answer his question precisely - He will not be deported because he has been having drugs. The DMP will suggest appropriate measures if he discloses his habit of drug intake.

Thanks Mitali, agreed about DMP and medical exam, but this is the risk for Canada and canadian citizens, we are not discourage him/her, but we warn him/her deportion can be anytime even after getting PR if he/she cought by police with drugs. It's concern about his/her and Canadians future too.

@ Ommbhai you are right, whatever is immigration process (PR or citizenship by family class OR child of PR applicant) 15years old teen-ager Drugs adicted purely risk for our kids & canadian citizens as OMM described.
Let's STOP & BAN Drugist in Canada. We don't want Drugist.

@ Mitalijee, you are encouraging drugist here.
(many newbie passing time here and created many meaningless posts here, I seen one guy applied for PR in August 2003 & waiting for AOR!!!! do not encourage newbie more specially drugist like Dani!!!).

I hope that DMP will make a note to CIC/Visa office, finally this guy will not clear security/criminal checks.
