Hello again to all,

I'm worried about not passing the Medical Exam for Permanent resident (AINP) because I'm overweight.
Im not sure what the exact weight should be but Im 5ft 9in (1.75mt) and weigh around 220Lbs (100 Kg). I know im a overweight but one thing i have going for me is that other then my weight issue I have no other heath problems. I still have about 6 months to loss weight and I plan to loss as much as possible.

Can some one tell me what the weight measurements are for this exam and if my current weight will get my App refused.

I think i have only heard on this forum that some people were denied because of obesity and consequent problems.

1) I am not sure it was merely weight but rather some further consequences of being over weight that caused it.

2) It was obesity, which is classified as being extremely overweight. The above stats (height to weight ratio) in my view doesn't fall in that category.

So far I like what im hearing. Thank you all for your replies.
you should try to lose weight for your own health, Canada will let you in right now but if you gain more weight and develop diabetes, who knows. ::)

Thats absolutely right, forget about the immigration policies and procedures, you should take care of your health and maintain your health.

Off topic - recently in NewZealand, a couple was asked to leave the country (they are on TWP) as they were overweight (more than 125 Kgs) citing health reasons.
