Medical exam validity extension for additional 12 months (new CIC Bulletin)

Hi everyone! I would like also to ask your opinion and thoughts regarding my present
situation. My medical expired last January 2013 after a year of waiting for PPR issuance.
"Medical received" line on ECAS last May 2012. I emailed the local embassy a couple of times
but there's no response at all. Can I still avail the med. extension or a re-med would have been
the next option? Thanks in advance!

your VO will ask for a redo I guess because your med got expired 4 months ago

They would send you a letter to redo it. Dont do it yourself till they dont ask you to do. Otherwise it will take time again to locate your meds.

You are unlikely to be able to get a medical extension at this point since 15 months have passed so this Bulletin wouldn't apply even if the rest of your case were complete and this was the only thing they were waiting for. So, at this point you will most likely need to re-do the medicals. You can do that proactively or wait until they ask for it. If you wait for them to ask for it, you know they are ready for it but it may mean a delay while you get it done and processed if that's all that's missing. If you do it proactively and it re-expires, you'll have to do it again.

Hi friends,... I am new member and also has same kind of query. ND office sent a passport request with some docs on 27th Feb 2013 and i submitted my passport and other docs on 2nd Apr 2013. CIC ND received my passport on 4th Apr 2013. My passport is going to be expire on 14th Jul 2013. New Delhi is different from other VO's in that they typically request your passport up front, rather than at the end of the process. As such, there is no way of knowing how close to the end you are, so you'd be better to wait until they contact you with further instructions.

If everything else is ready and the only thing holding up your file from final approval is the expired medical before October 24 2013 then your medical can be extended. Otherwise, they'll most likely request a redo.

I read so many post about medical validity extension but i also read that there is no extension in the validity of medical. Which one is true? I was putting eagle eye on all medical expiry cases. According to cic website manual, medical extension may only be issued at anytime within 3 months after expiry of medical. If no extension is issued in 90 days after expiry of medical then applicant have to undergo revised medical. Last month that cic circular also got expired and any time new instruction may come about how to proceed in medical expiry cases. In some cases applicant got visa at the time of expiry because LOV have already obtained the extension from new delhi office without telling the applicant .

In my case, i got specific instruction from LOV to retrieve passport from isb embassy as my medical expiry is approaching in 2 weeks and fresh instruction will issued by LOV when to re-submit passport. I was shocked like what the F**k happen after PPR-stage2!! If u didnt recieve specific instruction from LOV then probably they are doing something. we can only hope and pray.

i get medical request at november 2011 and these medicals done at january 2012 at july 2012 they want redo for x-ray these x-rays
resend at august 2012 at april 2013 they want from me a personal interview and till now nothing happend to my application

I got my provincial nominee approved in March 2012, did my medical in June, 2012. Case processing Ottawa informed me in email they extended my medical application but didn't mention how long they extended --- any idea? Looks like my application is "in process" state forever.

Fingerprints done: 2 June 2013
Medical expiration : 26 July 2013
Telephonic interview : 2 September

and after that its been 11 days , i havent received any email or letter from them. Does anyone have any suggestion about
my case. Can i expect visa from embassy next week or later ?
