Medical exam situation for Pregnant wife

Hello,

I'm the principal applicant. My wife is pregnant so she will not be able to complete her x-ray.

Here's the thing...10 months ago she just completed her medical exam as part of her work permit application. So I'm thinking about 2 things:

1) Skip her medical exam and provide letter of explanation stating that she already had her medical exam 10 months ago. I'm worried about this approach because CIC might just deny our application.

2) Take the medical exam and indicate in the letter of explanation about her pregnancy and state also that she already had medical exam 10 months ago.

I prefer option 1, but do you know if CIC will just reject our application OR if they don't agree with my letter then they can just ask my wife to take the exam right??

Please share your thoughts?

Medical exams are only valid for a year and they should be valid by the time she lands. It's just the first three months i think where it's risky to get an x-ray. Afterwards they give her an apron-like thing to cover.

thank you, still hoping CIC would accept last year's x-ray so that we don't have to wait for her to give birth

By the time the medical reaches CIC, it will take a month or 2. So the medical will almost expire.

You can go after the 3rd month and wear an apron and get the xray.

You can also defer the xray to after the baby is born.

Just make sure you have enough funds for the extra family member.

We completed our upfront exam...sort of...The doctor told us not to take the x-ray if it's not too important..I guess we can wait for a few more months.

I'm applying inland under CEC. I'm wondering, After we submit our application, how can I add our new born baby to the family information form? Is it possible to make updates once the package has already been submitted?
