Medical exam, should my child just redo it?

Hi,

I just received medical exam instruction(IMM1017E) from IRCC for my 6-year-old daughter's PR application, in the form a new IME number was issued and its type is EDE.

My daughter did the medical exam while applying for visitor record back in 2023. At the time it was another IME number and its type was Non-EDE.

If I order the old report from the panel physician and then send it to IRCC thru webform, that shall work, right?

Or should I just let her retake the medical exam considering waiting for the old report to be delivered and webform system might take some time to update something.

A new exam will be needed, even if it were the right type (I don't know the difference), the results are generally only considered good for one year.

Go ahead and try that if you wish. You hadn't mentioned the child is in Canada.
