Team,

How is medical exam linked to your EE/e-APR profile? Do we fill up a form mentioning e-APR number or something? Or is it based on the Passport number? What is the reference used by CIC?

I am planning to book our (Spouse and I) medicals. Should we first wait to renew our passports first? We need to re-apply for passports to add our current address and spouse name details (Compulsory for PCC :()

You need to take your passport so that the panel physician can verify your identity. You have to do upfront medical so you don't need any number

Hey,

How will CIC officer match my results to my application? Will they be using the scan of medical exam receipt?

The clinic will give you a confirmation of medical which you upload. They will match it to your name.

Got it. So I and my wife can safely go for medicals and then renew our passports later, yes?

if you intend to renew your passports before application submission then get your medicals done after renewing your passport.

Any specific reason for same? Will CIC officer track my medical results using my passport number or unique UMIXXX on the medical exam receipt?

Looks like passport number has nothing to do here..

What to bring
When you go to your appointment, you must bring:

proper identification (you will need at least one document with your photograph and signature, such as a passport, driver’s licence or national identity card),
eye glasses or contact lenses, if you wear them,
any medical reports or test results that you have regarding previous or existing medical conditions, and
the Medical Report form (IMM 1017E), if you do not get an upfront medical exam. We will send you this form.

Your medical exam results are valid for 1 year and you need to complete the landing procedure within that time. So it is advised to do medicals just before submitting your eAPR. Without your new passport, you will not get your Indian PCC, which means you will not be submitting your eAPR anyway. Why waste the validity period of your medicals? Get your passport renewed, apply for PCC and get your medicals done. Simple!

Good luck!
