I don't think that this gonna be a problem, the doctor can see via your health state if you are lying about your depression status, so you did all right in my opinion. Today, especially in the big cities many people are under depression, some of them do not even understand that they are under the pressure of the depression. More people are trying to deal with depression via traditional methods that in most cases is not helpful and just increase the number of assault and suicides. In my opinion, the government should pay more attention to depression treatment and create more medical centers like andalahealth.com.

Hi experts. I had submitted my express entry profile and got an ITA on 12th August. Everything was going smooth until today! I got my medical tests done today where the physician asked me whether I have any history of depression. I told her about my mild depression 3 years back during my masters days for which I sought medicines Nox Vidmate VLC and which was largely cured in 6 months. On second thought I wonder that I shouldn't have brought up such a mild issue at all. Can this lead to more obstacles and delays further down the road?
Hi Have you guys passed medical test ? My friend is in similar boat need inputs please

Not an issue unless you have more severe depression that impacts your ability to work or study.
I am currently facing the same issue. got medical done in the first week of June and disclosed that I am taking medication for anxiety (but also mentioned that I am tappering it away). As of today, I am not taking any medication. Should i be answering YES or NO for the statutory question on mental disorder. Also, my psychiatrist who prescribed me the medicines is based in India.

In my opinion, you can mark it NO as it is not a serious medical issue.

Not a serious medical condition but you should answer yes that you have a mental health condition if asked to indicate if you suffer from a list of medical issues. As already mentioned before if you have been able to work and study while suffering from your mental health issues and have not been hospitalized for the mental health issue it won’t be an issue even if taking medication. Suffering from mild mental health issues and often requiring medication is very common.
