Hello i apologize for the repeat question but i am on an older phone and cannot easily search through old posts. I have a medical exam in canada here in richmond hill ontario. The woman said all results get sent tothe same place/ that there is no outland difference but i know this isnt true. Should i cancel? What should i say? I have heard of many people doing this: do you have any advice? Thankyou

She may mean that they go to Ottawa and then to the respective visa offices, and that IS true for outland :) Ask again and see if she says they go to Ottawa. Also be sure that she gives you the right paper for outland. It's 'section A' and it's greenish and will have one of your pictures on it.

Yes, you can have your immigration medical exam done in Canada even if you are going to submit an outland application. Your profile says that your visa office will be Buffalo - so what the woman at the DMP's office said is true. All results for applicants in North America (whether inland or outland) are sent to the Regional Medical Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. That's where inland Canada processing offices request results from, and that's where Buffalo requests results from. So, no, you don't have to cancel. Take your medical forms from the US Region Specific Guide with you to the exam, tell them your application is being processed through Buffalo, and send the form/receipt they give you at your exam with your application. That's it. I'm doing exactly the same thing (for the second time) at the end of this week. No worries.

Dear all,

I submitted my federal application to Buffalo (I am a student in New York), now I need to do the medicals. Is it obligatory that I do them here in the United States, or it's ok if I do them back home in Morrocco because I am going there anyway and it's much cheaper.

Thanks very much

You can do them wherever is convenient for you - just be sure the DMP knows where to send the results. If you're processing through the US, the results need to go to Ottawa - and that won't be where the DMP normally sends results for applicants he'd be seeing who would probably be processing through Rabat. If the DMP sends them to the wrong Regional Medical Centre, Buffalo will not be able to find them, because they will request them from Ottawa.
