Hello everyone,

I need advise on this.. My parents in law applied for visitor extension last feb 22 and now we got letter saying they need to do medical exam. But they are leaving canada next month so im not sure if medical exam is still neccessary?? Ill be spending medical exams for 2 people here and its not cheap! So now i really dont know what to do.. I find it very impractical to spend that much knowing they be out of the country next month..
:( ::) :'(

if they are under implied status then you much do it...(visa status is still not expired) its required to do 1 month beforehand.

if they are leaving before the visa expiry date then no worries..they are fine...
the reason of doing medical is to get an extension right ?
if they are will in expiry date and are leaving before the visa expiry then its not a problem.

hope this helps...

Hi Marchie!
what if they receive their medical request and the 6months stay in here is already expired with an implied status, and want to leave canada while their visa extension application is on process they still need to do the medical exam in their home country? Thanks

Hi racheltan, im in the same situation as yours, any update on what happened to your in laws? Thanks
