If we apply outland, we have to send the results of the spousal medical examination with our package. It is €250 to get it done in Germany. Does it matter where we get it done? We will be traveling to India for a holiday and thought we could possibly get it done there. Would doing that work against us?

I've asked this question before and what I understand is that you can do the medical anywhere, as long as its done by one of the doctors listed here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx

My fiancee is from Brazil and we are getting his done in Canada. I called to see if this could be done and the receptionist at the doctors office said it wasn't a problem.

Thanks for your quick reply. It sort of makes sense if someone gets it done in Canada, since they are applying to live there. But for some reason when an Italian, who lives in Germany gets his medical done in India, it just seems a little off to me. But maybe I'm paranoid and it's worth saving the $200+. (Especially when medicals expire in a year and then you have to get it done all over again...)
