I'm planning to sponsor my wife to obtain the Canadian PR.

I was reading the country specific instructions for USA and noticed that the police certificates and medical exams are required for ALL FAMILY Member. Does that mean I, sponsor, would also need to meet these requirements?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but just wasn't very clear to me. I didn't think sponsor needs to have medical clearance since I can live in Canada anytime.

The sponsor does not need a police certificate or medical exam. "Family members" means all family members, except those who are already Canadian citizens or permanent residents. For most of the forms, "family members" also only means your spouse or common-law/conjugal partner, and any kids - not parents, siblings, cousins, etc.

Thanks for clarifying, that makes sense
