Yes, you have to declare your medical conditions. It's asked for on the IME questions.

For what I know, that shouldn't be a problem if already treated. But additional tests might be necessary.
Refer to this document for more information:

Hi Jangad

I had also the same problem. I told the doctor that I have BP and taking medication.

For me CIC didn't ask for any additional test after receiving my medical results.

When you tell the doctor about the BP, they will suggest for an an additional test at the same time for your kidney function (Creatinine).

My personal advise is to tell the doctor that you have BP. No worries

Thanks

Correct. But in the end it depends on what's causing the hypertension. I suffer from hypertension
myself, and had a lot of tests done, but no one was able to find the cause. All my oragans are functioning
just fine, no abnormalities. I'm taking my medication and am just fine.

So I don't expect any difficulties at the time of my medical examination.

Here is the medical handbook for the Dr doing the tests: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/partner/pp/pdf/handbook-extract.pdf
As you can see the medical questionnaire is pretty simple. It is up to your Dr discretion to measure your blood pressure and advise of any additional tests to be taken. Just inform him about your medication and source of the hypertension, most of the chances it won't be an issue.
