Dear Seniors and Colleagues, I need an urgent help to answer the below puzzle.

I received my ITA on 13th April.
I called the medical centres for upfront medical exam for me, spouse and child.
The medical centre is asking for the category to apply for and the only option they have given is (worker, student or family).
Student category is looks invalid in our case.
Family category is not applicable for upfront medical exam.
Worker category, make some sense to me and spouse but makes no sense for 4 year old child.

Guys please help, I have to book this medical exam ASAP.

We did Non EDE worker, including my daughter who is less than 2 years old. She is not a student and she is not family class.

Tell them that you are an Express Entry candidate. That should do.

Hi

The details on ''Information Printout Sheet'' (IPS) should be for - # IME: Non EDE & # Upfront Medical type: Worker

Worker category for all. It's the same category as Primary Applicant for dependents as well.

I told them the same but they do not understand. (Country is Japan)
Express Entry is still new to countries with fewer immigrants. Just go with upfront worker medical exam. What you need to do after that is upload the Information Printout Sheet they give you to your medical section of the online application. IRCC will retrieve your record according to the UMI number on the sheet.

Thanks everyone , I booked medical exam under worker category .
Clinics are not up to date for recent changes, they were not accepting worker category for my 4 yr old child.
However I pushed them to consider on my own risk, thanks guys for making me confident on this decision .

I am in the same situation as you. The Clinic insists I must choose between Worker/Visitor/Student to be able to obtain an upfront medical exam.
Please did your booking under worker category work for your PR application?
