I just got my Medical report request via e-mail from CIC Singapore ! ! ! I'm from Bangladesh.
I was worried sick as this was my 2nd time applying for the study permit. Hope everything goes fine. Happy to help you guys if you need any

I am also from Bangladesh. I applied on 13th November, 2014 at vfs for student visa. I did not get mail for medical till now. I am little worried now.

When did you apply at vfs? Are you in student visa?

Yah bro, if everything goes as planned, I will go to University Of New Brunswick ( Mechanical Eng. Degree ) for Jan 15 session.
I applied on 10th Nov. via VFS. and I got my medical report and passport request email today (on the 15th day ), Shukkur-Al-Hamdulillah.
Don't worry, In Sha Allah, you will get the email by 30th Nov.
Btw, which university are you going to ? and could you please share your profile ?

I got the letter for a medical request on nov. 24 but still worried if i will be granted a visa. Some say that a medical request is not a guarantee that your application will be approved. Nope, the first time I got rejected , they just dispatched a refusal letter to vfs from Singapore. Yeap, medical request doesn't guarantee a visa but as long as you have no medical conditions with which CIC might have a problem , you are good. If they had/have no intention of approving one's visa, they wouldn't take their time to fill in a form and email it. They would just simply send a refusal letter. Hope this clears your worries. But, to be honest, I am worried too. In Sha Allah , both of us will get the study permit .

I am a freshman candidate.
The first time I applied, thousands of documents were missing and, I showed them an acceptance letter of a very new community college. Plus, I could not show any official proof of the transferred CADs from bd to Canada. All in all my application was really a weak one.
But this time, I followed the checklist very precisely and did submit loads of documents like :

* Affidavit of Dad's
* CA Statement of Dad's net worth
* Business certificate of 3 of his businesses
* Deeds of land we own
* Very logical and strong SOP
* IELTS certificate with score of 7.5
* LOA from UNB
* and Mount Allison University

and many more.
SO, In Sha Allah, I am very hopeful that I will get the study permit this time , but only by Allah's grace. I did my medical today and they are going to forward the report to Singapore tomorrow. Hope everything goes as wished. Pray for me

It takes almost 15 day to get mail.

That's great bro ! Told you not to worry.
I got admission offer from both Mount A. and UNB but I chose UNB's offer.

My profile :

* O Levels : 'A's in science subjects
* AS levels : Disappointment
* GED : 74 % ( top 15% north american high school student's equivalent marks in 3 subjects )
* IAS ( a Australian board certificate in science subjects )
* IELTS : 7.5 ( L: 8.5, R: 7.5, S: 7, W: 6.5 )

And, that's pretty much all.
Do your medical on Saturday. I did mine at Dr.Wahab's and they forwarded my report to singapore. I called them over phone to know if there was any problem with the report, they said that, if there was any, they would have contacted me. So, I guess Allah'r rohomot a shob thik ase. Hope all of us get the study permit, In Sha Allah. Don't stop praying brother, pray for me as well.
