Because they conduct the medical tests which includes chest x-ray, ut , blood count and many other
They do four tests in medical.
Xray to check TB
Blood and urine test to check viral infection like hepatitis etc
Eye test. And at last you have to go to doctor who will ask you series Of questions about your health and your family health. He will definitely ask you like if you have any disease. If you say yes then they can do more test and if you say no you are good to go. If you declare your heart disease more chances you will not be grant a visa due to medical reason.( By personal experience)

Hi
I believe if your concern is whether the doctor shall be able to figure out your health issue from your reports or not … well then in that case you can consult with any other doctor (family doctor or the doctor who is treating you or any other doctor you know personally) & tell that particular doctor about the process of visa medical scans, then the doctor can probably tell you whether they shall be able to figure out your disease or not through the scans carried out during visa medical !!! If the family doctor says it can be figured out then honestly tell the visa doctor everything & try to convince the doc that your health issue shall not be a concern.
But of course don’t travel if you have a health issue, get treated and I think once you get treated and your doctor clears you fully fit, I don’t think then it shall be an issue for visa medical professionals (even if you mention about it to them).

It’s completely my opinion, I am no expert but if I were you, I would have taken the above mentioned steps. Particularly, get treated first then travel
