Medical and RPR Fee Request

I have applied for Skilled Worker catagory in Sept 2007 from London, UK. In August 2010 I was asked to do my medical and send my Right of Parmanent Residentship fee. I did medical in Sept 2010 and sent the RPR fee at the same time. Its been more than four months but Im yet to recieve any reply from CIC. I checked my application status online. But it has not been updated. Can anyone tell me how long it may take to get any reply from CIC or is there any reason for worrying? I made a query couple of months ago. The reply was you application is going through Routine Background Checks. What does it mean? Thanks.

Hi, my medicals were also done in Sept, and just in Jan 11 end i received the PPR through email.
So please send the VO case specific query now, i hope you will receive the reply with good news of PPR.

thnx for ur advice. but i have sent a query in early dec 2010 and they replied that my file is under routine background check. i dont exactly know what that means. so i dont know whether i should make query again. one more thing. they haven't updated my online application status. it only shows ''We started processing your application in September 2007". did they update urs?

Hi, the reply the had given you is just a standard reply, actually they have started PPR from Jan11 onwards, i had sent them my query on 19 and they replied my back on 20th Jan 11.

Yes, mine has also not changed, its still the same. Nowadays, they are only changing it once the VISA is stamped.

I had exactly similar case. i sent my medicals and RPRF in Sept 2010. the response to my enquiry email in November was the same ' Routine Background checks'. i sent another enquiry couple of weeks ago and no reply. the E-status is still the same since 3 years ' In Process' . it seems that our applications are still being cooked. let's wait and see. let's hope we get a positive response soon.
