Medical and police clearance before receiving ITA.

Hello. I would like to know if I can get my medical and police clearance done before receiving ITA to save time. Also I will be filing for my wife as well and she is back home. Can she do the same before receiving ITA? Thank you.

Hi, I don't think you can do a Medical checkup without the ITA, because when you get invited they will request you to have your medical checkup at an authorised medical center/physician.

As for the police certificate, as the member said above - just be careful about the validity period.

Regarding waiting to complete the medical, it depends on where you live and to which authorized medical providers you have access. In some countries, at some of the authorized medical providers, they won't ask you to show proof of an ITA before allowing you to do the medical. They'll just take you at your word that you're applying for permanent residency and complete the exam. I didn't have to provide any evidence that I had an ITA. (Also, when you get the ITA, IRCC won't officially send a request for you to complete the medical - it is assumed you will have read the information needed and will know to book the medical yourself.)

You can do medical without ita, did mine before I got ita , most will do it without and I’ve heard some won’t do it without an ita
