I've never seen the "received" line, I was able to check my ecas only when it was "in process".
I guess when your received line disappear that means it's going to be in process. Because there are 3 categories, received, in process, completed.

Mu file is in process since april 22nd
I speak about the main receive line, abovethe process one

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on ......

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on ......

3.We started processing your application on ......

No when you log in to your file on the page you first have 2 main lines
Receove (with blue link to click on it) and a in process one (with blue link too)

in my case, the date when the Received Line disappeared, is the same date my file was transferred to local office.

i hope that helps :)

I've never seen 2 lines, I always see one line which is in process, then you click you go to the other page with , 1. blablala 2.blalalal
I am sure it is a good sign.

It's not easy to answer, but for myself my file transferred to local office 3 weeks after disappearance of the received line, and had my test 4 weeks after the file transfer.
My personal answer to your question: The processing start date shown on eCas is the date when your file goes in line for processing. When the received line is disappeared, the real processing will start.

Ok so for some it matches file transfer to local office and for other it means real treatment...
No way to know then....

Come on...there must be some people who experienced disappearance of receive line

In almost all "monthly applicants" thread, the disappearance of received line was discussed. If you will use the SEARCH button of this forum, you will find answer to your query. Anyway, some says the background check was already done. Most of the applicants say that their file was transferred to their local office after the received line disappears and eventually after few weeks got their test letters. While, others received RQs or FPs request. Some say they didn't see any received line from the beginning.... Hope this helps. :) ;D :)
