SISH7255 said:If you have done 12+MBBS(bachelor's)+MD(masters)- 25 points.
If you have a undergraduate (bachelor's) MD degree then you will get only -20
In south America, I have seen doctors with MBBS degrees write "MD" (Medical Doctor) after their names to distinguish from the Ph.D.
For example, Dr.John Hislop (MD) etc.

Good luck

I think we should clear the air on this because I have come across this issue several times on this forum.Other doctors who have been assessed too should contribute.

See OP-6: Sect: 12.2 Education
Medical doctor degrees are generally first-level university credentials, in the same way that a
Bachelor of Law or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology is a first level, albeit ―professional‖ degree and should be awarded 20 points.
If it is a second-level degree and if, for example, it belongs to a Faculty of Graduate Studies, 25 points may be awarded. If a bachelor‘s credential is a prerequisite to the credential, but the credential itself is still considered a first-level degree, then 22 points would be appropriate. It is important to refer to how the local authority responsible for educational institutions recognizes the credential: i.e., as a first-level or second-level or higher university credential.
So It depends on where you earned your degree i.e. a first-level or second-level or higher university credential?
Likewise SHISA ‘s saying, if you have completed a bachelor degree already, and MD is regarded as a Master Degree, you would have been awarded 25 points for 18 yrs full-time study.
Otherwise you have acquired a bachelor and MD is considered as a diploma, then you would be awarded 22 points.
Or else if MD is considered a Bachelor degree, it could claim just 20 points.
