Hi Guys,

I would like your inputs on the job opportunities for MBA fresh graduates in Canada ? For a person with an MBA degree from UK but no experience immigrating to Canada, what is the success rate to grab a job? and what province is more suitable for MBA graduates.

Thanks alot for your time.

Without work experience, it will likely be extremely difficult to secure a job and work permit - unless you are a UK citizen and can go through the IEC/working holiday visa program.

Immigrating won't be possible until you have at least one year of full time paid work experience.

Dear Scylia,

Thanks for your reply, but i think you misunderstood me. i meant i already have a PR status and moving to Canada with MBA qualification. so i dont need a work permit.

The job competition is tough out here. Unfortunately, employers still prefer a Canadian work experience. So immigrants with higher degrees often go for lower level job than they used to have. Bachelor's, MAs, PHDs, and MBAs are often of no use here unless they are earned in Canada.

Classic Chucks,

So how would a person would earned Canadian experience if he wont be hired ??

I'm not saying you won't be hired at all, you will. But you will just have to settle for something less, for something you don't really want. Maybe even something totally unrelated to your field of expertise. I know a lot of new immigrants with Bachelor's/MA's/MBA's/PhD's and several years of work related experience, but the opportunities in their field are zero to none unless they further their studies here in Canada, especially to those who belong in the regulated profession. I'm not discouraging you but merely presenting the reality to you.

Others do volunteer to expand their network and gain an experience.

Hi shazfa,
I am in the same boat and wondering if you know the biggest MBA job fair held in Canada. I'm getting my MBA from the US (not a citizen) and I have no experience.

@shazfa, @babilon, please let me know how you are faring. I am in same boat. Thanks.
