hi guys I see a lot of responses on the question of MBA waiver. Please contact the same agents I went to. I am going to Wilfrid laurier University, they offer a gmat waiver for exceptional gpa. I was told that I will be admitted in One of the Universities in Ontario and my agent tried at most places without actually applying there.

Laurential : They some time waive the requirement only is Stats markes are high in undergrad

Laurier: Can also waive for students with high gpa's and high stats marks

My agent tried with all 13 Universities in Ontario and got me the offers from 3 MSc programs and one MBA program.

Hi,

I think you are lucky with your GPA because Wilfrid Laurier do not provide GMAT waiver in case an applicant hold qualification from outside of Canada.

I quote, Wilfrid Laurier Website FAQ's

-Do I need the GMAT?

-The Laurier MBA Admission Committee requires that all candidates provide a successful GMAT score of 550 or better with their application. A GMAT Score of 550 or better is mandatory for all international MBA student candidates. A GMAT score of 600 or better is mandatory for all MBA with Co-op student candidates.

A GMAT waiver could be considered on an individual basis, and is sometimes exempted. This exemption applies only to those students who have met all of the following criteria. (This exemption does not apply to those students who are applying to the MBA with Co-op Option, where the GMAT is mandatory.)

• Applicants who have obtained GPA of 73% or better in their last ten half credits of study, and
• Applicants who have successfully completed either one of Calculus, Statistics or Algebra at the university level and have obtained a course grade of 73% or better in one of these courses, and
Applicants who have completed their four year undergraduate degree within the last five years, in Canada.

If you are meeting all of the above criteria then you are in a position to supply that undergraduate quantitative degree course credit as your successful proof of quantitative knowledge in your application. A GMAT waiver may be allowed, by the Laurier Admissions Committee.

Ryerson, got a waiver on Gmat for Fall 2012.
Hi,

I think you are really very lucky, because Ryerson MBA DO NOT provide GMAT waiver IN ANY CASE.

I quote Ryerson FAQ;

Is the GMAT score mandatory before submission of application?
Yes, a GMAT score is mandatory for all applications. Applications will not be considered without a GMAT score.

1. Ryerson GMAT requirement- http://www.ryerson.ca/mba/faq/#gmat

2. Ryerson MBA admission requirement - http://www.ryerson.ca/mba/admissions/
