Hi Aditi,

I had a similar application list for my MBA. I had 3 common uni's on your list. (CA, GMAT 710, IELTS 8.5)

I applied to:-
Alberta - Offered - Withdrawn
Calgary - Offered - Accepted
Carleton - Withdrawn
McGill - Rejected
UBC - Withdrawn
SFU - Offered - Withdrawn
York - Offered - Withdrawn

Witdrawn means I was offered a place but did not accept the offer. 2 Uni's I withdrew from the application process before the final interview as I had made my mind up.

So, yeah, you can ask me questions if you want.

Just curious,
What factors made you choose Calgary over York or UBC ?

Price for York. Calgary gave me a scholarship and the price of MBA without scholarship is round abt $57K. York gave me nothing price was $89K. Also I wanted to go to a school where my wife was also going to go for her program (which is not business related).

UBC is really good value for money too. But they are sooooo slow! By the time they give you a result, all other schools will have given you your results and your deadline for accepting would have been over. Who needs that headache? I waited as long as I could and then withdrew, as they called for the last interview 2 days after I accepted the Calgary offer.

Ok fair enough,
I am hoping to get University of Toronto as my 1st choice for MBA program. If not then maybe UBC if i get it.

UBC is really cheaper tuition fees wise. But i am not sure if BC has good job potential after MBA.

@enywmara

you have 710 gmat, thats a very good score. i am worried because of low gmat score, i wont get admission.

Its ok. GMAT is not the only factor. Think if it as the following
GMAT (20%) + Academic (20%) + Reference (20%) + Essay (20%) + Video interview (20%)

Hope this helps.
