How did you convince in your SOP to visa officer that why you are not pursuing your MBA from any Top tier business school from India and preferring Canada for this instead. I understand there are many Top tier world class Business School in India who are far more better than any Canadian business school.

MBA is a generic degree and does not require for you to complete a BBA in most countries ( including Canada). I've done my Electrical Engineering and I'm going for my MBA this Fall 2017 ( Although I have 3+ years in Marketing and project management). MBA in Canada is much better than India, but the decent schools in Canada also require atleast 3+ years of experienc. 22 schools in Canada are AACSB accredited as compared to 5 or 6 in India. Also quality of education is better. Although VIU is not the best university, always go to universities with AACSB accreditation.

The only MBA progrram that will be recognized by employers and will be a benefit your career are from the larger universities. For example in BC they would be UBC. UVic, SFU.
