My Received line disappeared last week. Kitchener Office

any May 2014 applicants with local office as Kitchener, ON? My received line disappeared sometime last week I think, so hopefully will get test date in November/December.

Don't mean to burst peoples' bubble but I believe a good chunk of May applications are still in Sydney undergoing background checks, at least that was the case with my application as of last week even though my received line disappeared almost 4 weeks ago. I think the only way to know when LOT (local office transfer) happens is to connect with a CIC agent. I wouldn't recommend crowding the lines though as I am sure other people might have more urgent questions/needs so inquiring once every few weeks should be ok perhaps.

I think we've clarified that the received line disappearing doesn't mean a local office transfer, but it does seem to mean that the file has been touched in some way. If you look at the spreadsheet, there's a nice average of 30 days between when it disappears and when the test notice is issued.

As for calling to see if it's been transferred... really, does it matter? I'd say leave it be and just wait -- pestering CIC doesn't get anybody anything good.

Agreed doctorkb, I'm on board with you on all the points you made, and yes I have noticed that 30 day spreadsheet average and I really hope that you are correct there, my received line disappeared exactly a month ago and no test notice thus far, I'd actually be content if I get it by November sometime :) I am looking at April 2014 applicants and not that many appear to have received test notices ::)

Nothing wrong with that. That's because when they receive the file at the local office , they need to do some work and checking too before they issue test notice or, God forbid, RQ. so 30 days is quite normal.

A new week is coming, We need NEWS from all those of May applicants. Good luck.

Usually, walkin, pay, print, walkout with prints.

Sounds like KFC. Finger print is being processed in Ottawa. So your local RCMP collects your finger print, sends it to RCMP in Ottawa, and it will take Ottawa 3 days to mail the result. It will reach the destination mail box in about 3-4 days after being mailed. So total about 7 business days for CIC to get it if you submit today, consider you don't have any records. But if you ever had any problem with police, means there is a matching in your finger print check, it can take up to 4 months for the result to be mailed out.

Oh, I didn't realize they're asking for a FP *check* -- I'm pretty sure we had to give prints for PR, and they actually handed us the 10-card back to send in ourselves.

Recieved May 5
In process July 8th
