Hello guys.
Do you know web pages that I can use for searching where to live in Montreal?
I contacted some persons but some of them ask me for references (I don't know anybody there) or credit history (I don't know if they understand that I'm foreign) and others asked me for money.
What can I do for renting something before going to Montreal?... some advices?

where in montreal? r u looking in downtown just go around looking for signs on apartments 'for rent' or 'a louer'(in french) go in and ask about whats required. u may also get references from ur college/university support group for housing assistance. do not pay anything from ur home country without seeing the apartment.
