We got our refusal today:


Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your temporary resident
visa application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not
meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration
and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following
grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and
financial status.

Basically the same as our previous refusal from March 2018 except this time we provided much more information regarding his business and his travel plans.

It's true he has no previous travel history but I thought our application was strong enough to overcome that.

The purpose of his visit was tourism. We provided a detailed day by day outline of all his plans for a 2 week visit including estimated costs, hotel bookings, airline confirmations, my invitation letter as well as supplementary letters from my pastor and family inviting him to visit.

Personal assets and financial: We provided evidence of his business including business registration and lease of his office space, client relationship letters and contracts, bank statements - both business and personal for the past 7 months with a combined total of 22,100 CAD and then we also provided mine as his host in the amount of 5,600 and investments totaling <96,000 CAD.

To say we are crushed is a drastic understatement. This time we really thought we had all our bases covered except the travel history, but that seems to be their sticking point.

Why do you think it’s taking so long?
If they were to refuse his application???? They should’ve send us a refusal by now right??

We won't know the exact internal processing situation unless you order for GCMS notes. That, of course, is not possible at this point in time.

Refusals can happen at any stage, even after several weeks/months of processing. Just wait.... you should be getting a decision soon

@Bryanna I just got passport request for my brother and his wife. Timeline.
Applied online . 4 June (India)
Review of eligibility : 22 June
Passport request : 22 June.
Now I have two queries ..
1.My brother has left for his tour in UK and he will be there for almost tw and half months. So he would have to Submit his passport in London. So where should I mail for authorisation to submit in UK. Mail if possible.
2. His wife is a dependent in my brothers application, but can she submit her passport in New Delhi or Chandigarh .

I also send sponsership letter for my son birthday held on 16 june my uncle aunt (mama mami )and his son .they apply 11 may chandigarh .his passport return they will pick up monday .they are not got email about refusal letter so thats mean they also got visiter visa .let see monday.last time my uncle got refusal letter before passport came in hand they got in email this tym not .I cant say 100% they got visa accourding they not recived email refusal letter thts why i guess this yes they all got visa .I will update on monday about my uncle family ...

Hi can u share what documents was you send to your uncle to his TRV.we were also apply to my husband s cousin brother for visitor visa 2 times to invite to my daughter s birthday but he got 2 times rejection.

I haven't received any message from CIC regarding BIOMETRIC except that they have received the file

Any idea how long it takes?
