How did you know your application was approved before receiving the "Golden Email"?

Thanks. I had emailed CPC Ottawa earlier this month to check my processing status and I got a reply saying that my application is approved and the Ready for Visa email will be sent shortly. When I didn't get the email after 3 weeks, I emailed them again and the next morning PPR was there.

No, there was no email to provide any information.

Anyone else? How is rejection usually communicated?

They notify you via donotreply in your email and send you a letter through your account giving you the reason of rejection and your application will change from submitted to incomplete!

Med: 1 August
BG: 1 August "we are processing" never changed after that
ADR: 25th September--> "we do not need any additional documents" (They haven't requested any documents at all).

Ready for Visa email - 28 September after 5 pm.

The profile is showing the same, no change after they sent ready for visa email.

Called them 3-4 times, emailed them 2 times and finally ordered GCMS which will probably come in 15-20 days.

I am not sure..but in my case I wasn't able to see IP1-NA2-IP2..it changed to "We are processing" once and it stayed like that until now.

EVERYONE STAY POSITIVE! pprs are on their waaaaays

Update:

I called cic yesterday & they said file is still in criminality check.. eligibility & security not started yet.

Overall means file hasn't been picked up since august 22 after requesting rcmp.

We have long wait ahead my friend.

wow.thats terrible. that means we should espect atleast 7 to 8 months for processing? criminality started but not finished, eligibility not started, security not started. maybe the agent must have recommended every documents passed and waiting for VO officer to make final decision. otherwise its a very slow process for us

No there is nothing like agent has recommended something, because eligibility would be in progress when agent is in progress of making decision & after he has recommended then eligibility status changes to recommended passed.

So, our eligibility & security are yet to start. Hopefully at least they will finalise the file within 6 months.

Called CIC on 25th Sep , was told BG and Security is pending and eligibility is recommended passed

Planning to submit passport soon, thanks everyone for the talks and hopefully everyone else waiting will see their PPR mail soon.

It`s often said that BGC (Security ) is the process that takes longer. I have a feeling that the more countries you`ve lived/visited the longer it takes.
