Yipee!
Ready for visa? That's the email I received at 3pm on the 7th sept,2017
That's the golden email I suppose!
May 1 AOR CEC inland-( I think you all should recall me panicking and getting worried at some point in July and @vpkasbek consoled and advised me! Thanks man! I really appreciate
I was 15 days short for the one year required work experience so I doubted my eligibility, but still went ahead and applied- Got AOR May 1st. Two dependants (Spouse not in Canada, and son in Canada)
However, I had PNP in process as well since (NOV 2016)- still in process as I type
No update on CEC until Aug 1, 2017 when I called CIC- medical reviewed, then I called again CIC, few hours later it changed to 'passed'
Then in the last week of Aug, I got a additional docs to be needed(spouse: data page update) and right of PR fee(didn't pay upfront)
A day after additional docs says received, then reviewed and the following day says "updated"
I placed a call to CIC, spoke to agent asking if the additional docs has been received(even when I actually know its currently been reviewed.....lol)
Few hours later I got " Ready for Visa?
I will say calling CIC does work
Each time I call CIC, I get updates on my application status few hours later(I was just lucky...maybe!)
Note that my background check says ....'we are processing your application! It never changed at any point to non-applicable or anything during my entire application process!
If you are not sure where your application is at, I will say Call CIC!!! don't be intimated by the agent who is not willing to share the abundant info they can read on your file, ask specific questions, be very emotional, don't be formal- after all they cant see your beautiful faces...lol. It worked for me
Good luck to you all and thanks so very much everyone.
Congratulations!! I just have one question since you and your spouse are in different countries, do they send information how to send the passports? Can you and your spouse send it separately from respective countries and get inidvidual COPRs? I have similar situation and hence curious. Thanks for your help in advance.
AOR: May 14th, still waiting for the glorious email :|

Called in Cic, says background check in progress nothing specific. Few exceptions to my case are i reported a technical difficulty which was stupid as the orignal file before invitation had some typo in income and ielts but i did submit correct information in final submission. Also i didnt submit NOA, but i submitted t4, paycheck, job letter.

I have absolutely no travel history and I am in canada since i was 17 years old. So no deep background except education in canada and 1 year job.

I did send case specefic request on 6th sept 2017 to expediate the process, as i need the approval for my university which i have started.

Please let me know what you guys think, might be the issue. Or its just some random process or officer?

Is it just another form of GCMS. Because if it is why are people spending on GCMS to know their status when they can get it by simply doing it online, something that you did. I wonder.

You are in IP2.

I am in the same situation.;) AOR May 23 and no extraordinary background - Canadian Education and 1 year job. Still no changes since Medical approved August 1. Moreover, I didn't pay RPRF upfront and still didnt get any request for it, what makes me even more anxious.

I think this whole processing time depends solely on the speed of an officer...maybe our applications are processed by the same one, and he/she went on a vacation or sth. and that's why we are not getting any updates..I'm sure the PPR is around the corner, so just try not to think much about it, because there is nothing you can really do. :)

Canadians go as per the documents. If everything is correct in the document and as per their requirement then you are good to go. Don't expect any mercy from them, but who knows miracles always happens. So stay positive..cheers

:( I agree, Why we got such officers. Its all random and lucky draw as to which gets a good officer.
