Hi guys. Today I went for my landing interview at the CIC Etobicoke office and I'm officially a Permanent Residence of Canada. The interview went well, it was just a 5 minutes interview. And they said the PR Card will arrive 8-10 weeks by mail. I didn't have to submit my passport for COPR or cross border.

Here is my timeline:

CEC

AOR May 9th

Medical pass sometime in mid June

Background still shows processing till Sept 4th

Landing interview request from CIC on Aug 15 (that's when they ask me to bring my passport and 2 passport photos)

Sept 5th landing interview and got COPR. PR card will be mailed

The good thing about thé CIC Etobicoke office is after you do the landing there's a service Canada right there where you get your new SIN number.

It's been a long wait. I wish everyone all the best. Thanks for the support along the way.

what questions did they ask you in the landing interview ?

what questions did they ask you in the landing interview ?

Just 3 questions:

1) have you been convicted of any crime before

2) have you ever been refused entry in Canada

3) last time you crossed border.

Then they ask you to sign 3 places and you're then officially a PR of Canada. Very easy, I was stressing out for no reason lol

Sorry to hear that man, i also got Rcmp request. Seems like when they do R10 check & requires RCMP, then they ask for it & leave the file aside. Then they forget about the file because I don't think their system has any pattern of tracking files, they randomly pick files.
I have seen people getting Pr of late May Aor & some of march or april are still waiting for any move in their file.
It's definitely not an come first, process first service.

I wish you best of luck!

When I was experiencing the error in my CIC account last night (error 502: Bad gateway) I was hoping that my account status was being updated :):D. Although the problem is fixed now, there is no update in the status, it remains the same as before. :(:mad:

Hello Vani2017,

I remember you saying that you've had an update on your profile a couple weeks ago, did you get any email or something ?

I've seen updated status in the front page but nothing since then .. don't know what the update was about ..
Yes but I couldn't seen any noticeable change in my application so I called cic they said my file has been moved LVO Delhi on 28 august
After that no update waiting eagerly for golden mail anyone know how long it takes for processing in LVO

Hello friends !!
I need some suggestion. I've got my eAPR on may 12 and then add my wife name on my application at 1 June. In my profile it still shows they're reviewing my and on background it said they didn't start yet. Many of my Friends got their PPR who got their eAPR on same date. I'm really worried. Any suggestion?

Same here.. I called yesterday and they said criminality is passed, but they said no update.. may be the one that we saw was some internal update from one stage to another.. I think there are 2 stages in eligibility, one from the initial reviewer and then the main officer.. I'm hoping that it was moved to the officer..
btw did you ask whether your eligibility and criminality passed??
