The trend is that from here your application will be sent to a local visa office. I got a reply on 26th July citing the same thing. I would say it is going to be a long wait for us.

Not sure how long they take to transfer the application and when the next officer reviews it.

Even I enquired about Visa Office on 30th July.

Status changed to IP2 on 1st August and got a reply on 3rd August saying our application is at CPC Ottawa and cannot confirm when it will be Ready for Finalization.

Waiting patiently for further updates.

I would go for GCMS notes in this situation. The notes will take 30 days to arrive but that will get you a clear idea. There are cases where notes help to make process faster internally as well.

As my background status changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." on July 25 and there is no update after that,I have sent an email yesterday to check which Visa office is processing my application to CPC Ottawa office.

I could see from group that usually they have received emails response with in 2 business days even though the standard auto reply from CIC states 20 working days to respond to emails.

I could see from forum that CIC would either reply stating that the application is either approved or is being processed at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia . Anticipating the response on similar lines from Ottawa office i.e. Ottawa either that my application is with their office or it's not with them and stating which Visa office is processing my application.

Can i expect a different message as I have paid all of my fee's upfront.

UCI, Given and Surnames category as FSW. Will these details sufficient or do I need to provide additional information to get an update from them.

If I don't receive an update for my email from CIC even after 5 days , what does it mean to my application.

For all those stuck at IP2, there is a theory that visa offices are busy towards student visas as September is the start of academic year for Universities. So the pace of processing other visas might be slow, till the end of this month. The wait might be a little longer and hence applicants are advised with the usual prescription of RELAX, WAIT, PATIENCE., in appropriate dosages.

You will get reply from them may be today or tomorrow. Please post here whenever you get a reply. I am at IP2 also since 25th July.
