Yes, my friends mother had biometrics and medicals upfront from other applications thats why AI processing would have worked.

Good to know. I applied on may 11th and for me biometrics is marked as completed. my mother recently gave upfront medicals (no medical request from IRCC yet). Hopefully, there is a movement with my application as well.

I took Secure Travel (RIMI) Insurance. No Pre-Existing Condition. Non-Smokers. The age of the applicants is 57 and 54. I paid $2319.22 for both for 100,000 with a $250 deductible. One thing I figured out is that no matter which insurance agent you take your insurance from, the prices of the insurance will be the same for any given company. You can get quotes from the insurance company's website directly. The insurance agent will be helpful if you need any help or advice related to a claim in future. And it doesn't cost us anything.
I received a message on the portal about passport requests for both applicants same as the biometrics requests. So I got an email notification for both applicants about unread messages on the portal.
We did upfront medical. We just saw the update on the portal under "review of medical results" that we passed on May 31, 2023.
