In which country is the primary applicant? ThanksHi guys,
Eligibility is in process and background not started on PR tracker. We got pre-arrival Saturday and PPR (I think) today. Did they just not update the tracker yet? Do people get PPR before COPR? Does it mean we’ve been approved?
Thank you! PA is from the UKIf you don't mind can you please tell where the principle applicant is from?
& Yes its okay to get PPR before copr that's how it supposed to be. Congratulations
Does submitting a visitor visa application negatively impact the PR application in any way? Thinking of doing the same but not sure if it has any impactHello, since not much going on in this group.. just sharing some positive news.. My wife's visitor Visa was approved last week .
After hearing a lot about longer processing time for spousal PR, I applied for her Visitor visa on 15 October (I was secretly hoping that her PR gets approved before visitor visa) but surprisingly.. she received the passport request on 9th December. She submitted the passport for stamping on 13 December and it came back with the stamp yesterday and she will be here this weekend. (I wish I would have applied straight after receiving the sponsorship aaproval)
Next steps (as per the my immi lawyer).. they will be informing IRCC about change in her location after she is landed. They also said the usually in such cases, IRCC would issue an inland COPR.. otherwise we will have to send the passport to Ottawa for stamping and then re-enter Canada as PR.
for her PR application.. no updates on portal since 30 November. I will keep you all posted on that.. good luck.
I hear you, and that is so frustrating!Seems like officers went for holidays already.
I dont think it should impact! they are both completely different applications for different purposes. In her visitor visa we submitted cover letter from both of us to clearly mention the purpose as to travel and spend some time with each other until the PR application is in process. You can check with lawyers.Does submitting a visitor visa application negatively impact the PR application in any way? Thinking of doing the same but not sure if it has any impact
thanks!
