MAY 2021 *Outland* Spousal Sponsorship

I submitted passport on Nov 3 and when I tracked my application, it says IRCC in process - Nov 9, 2021 NDVO. I did not receive my passport yet. Anyone in same situation?

We are in the same boat. PPR received Nov 5th. Passport picked up on Nov 11th. IRCC starts processing it on Nov 16th. Should be getting it back soon. All we can do is wait.

No hay problema. Tu aplicación parece estar bien. Normalmente, el procesamiento demora 12 meses. Ten paciencia y ten cuidado.

Guys so can someone help me answering this question.

If i get a PR and go to canada by putting spouse as non-accompanying, how long does it take for me to sponsor my spouse after I land in Canada?
Do i just need to have a job or do i need to have a job and pay taxes for a year before I can even apply to sponsor him? If this is the case it will take 2 long years. Is this the case or can i apply for sponsorship as soon as i land in canada ?

You dont have to wait for filing taxes in Canada. You might need a job and should be able to show/convince IRCC that you can sponsor the spouse and other dependents. I am in a similar situation and I have shown my US tax receipts, Canadian bank statements, Canadian pay-stubs. So, my guess is filing Canadian tax is not mandatory. However, you should attach a LOE to explain why you dont have a canadian tax return and what additional details you have provided to prove your eligibility as a sponsor.
