I received my GCMS after 5 months too

Every step shows completed on my application since July 27, 2022 on the tracker but citizenship ceremony is "not started".

In the GCMS note, Note 1 comment is "in accordance with the Citizenship act and regulations, and based on the information provided:Canadian citizenship is granted virtually" dated July 26, 2022.

My ECAS shows decision made but not citizenship ceremony invitation till now.

Visa office is Winnipeg

I received the oath invite for December 13. Funny that I submitted a webform just yesterday afternoon.
Did anyone else receive the same invite?

I received an oath invite for December 06.

Citizenship test was passed on 5th December 2021.
Application sent on 13th May 2021.

Hi everyone, I obtained my Canadian passport yesterday. Thanks for the help from everyone in this forum!


Here is my experience of passport (PP) application.

2022-Aug-11 Vancouver PP office, 757 W Hastings St #100, Vancouver, BC V6C 1A1

05:45 I’m the 15th person waiting in line. Since it’s waiting outside, bring chairs and warm jackets. Bring earphones to watch YouTube quietly.

07:00 Staff bring people to the building, giving free bottled water. The building has a washroom.

07:30 Staff bring people to the waiting room, based on flight ticket time (red tickets for flights within 24 hours, blue tickets for flights within 48 hours, white tickets for flights beyond 48 hours). The waiting room has chairs to sit.

I can understand your feelings very well right now. I would like to add one more thing bring food for you

HI I have applied May 2021 by paper. Still no update on my file. Didn't get any invitation for Test. Called MP office. They are saying they are waiting for BG check. I am really worried.

I also applied in May 2021. Most problematic month considering majority of applications stuck are in that very month.
Even May 2022 applicants are citizens now with passport.

Hi all, I'm new here, have been lurking for a long time but can't stand the wait any longer! Is it worth sending a webform request, even if we're still within the 24 months processing time? Or will it just make the IRCC angry? I'm kind of worried and second-guessing myself that I missed a trip for my physical presence calculation or messed up a form or something...

If you can back up everything you submitted, there should be no reason to worry
