This is a misunderstanding.

When I was applying for PR I was essentially using ATIP as the "status tracker" (yes the IRCC ATIP department clearly hates me now) but my application was never put on pause.

I believe Peter Julian (New Westminster - Burnaby, BC) had a staff saying things like that, but last I was told she no longer works there.
According to my MP, who directly spoke to IRCC (unlike us), it's not a misunderstanding at all.

Every time I ordered my gcms notes I had an update right after. I think it's valid to order! It also helps to see when it is the due date of your process
They probably picked up your application fairly quickly. What I was told is that a lot of people now have ordered their notes and IRCC has a backlog just to issue the notes.

Just did my oath :)

similar to most people’s experiences: check in first, then cut the PR card, then oath, then done.

entire process took slightly more than 1 hour. With the first half hour doing check-in and the oath started at around 11.30.

i was gonna ask the clerk some more questions but he did not give me the opportunity and just closed the Zoom session after the oath was done.

i actually cut my finger when I cut my PR card…

interestingly and not sure if universal to every locations: when I told the clerk that I will be travelling, he actually said I can pick the certificate up myself in person at IRCC Vancouver office. And sent me an email afterwards to ask me to come in on Thursday afternoon.

i’ll update passport timelines here…

I am facing a weird situation, hoping anyone else on this forum can guide. Below is my timeline so far, my background check was completed on November 4, 2021 and on August 4 2022 my background check has gone back to In Progress. I thought that the check will be valid for 1 year. Any idea of the reason for this? Also how much time does it take for the IRCC to complete the background check again?

Finally, I got an update on the old Ecas: "We started processing your application on August 09, 2022"

How long did it take for you guys to go from this step to the oath?

I passed the test in December 2021. Not sure why it's only showing "processing" now.
