Has anyone submitted additional documents lately, pls how did you sent it?
Do you attach the documents to the link sent to you or you submitted by hand at vfs? Pls someone should help
I was asked to submit my divorce certificate and I had to send it by fedex to visa office in mexico. Depends on what inmigration is requesting from you...What have they asked you to submit?

They ask me for more evidence on child’s changed of name and there was a link in the mail. So I guess it’s should be through the link as many guys have suggested here

yes, our file was transferred to NDVO, on Oct 25th, and they requested additional documents (divorce paper in gujarati) on Nov 14, we submitted on Nov 18 or 20th? and now the Gckeys is showing they are reviewing the additional documents we submitted. not sure what the next steps will be but we are 7 months into our application, hoping for a PPR soon! (hopefully they wont' ask for an interview since it's our second marriage).

what's your situation?

The sponsorship processing time is 12 months .Just go for the interview you will probably get an estimate how long it will take after ...
Are you sponsoring from Quebec ?

Hello,
Thank you for responding to me. I am sponsoring my husband from Ontario.

Hi everyone I have a quick question please. I’m sponsoring my wife and her dependent and we gave birth in June. I’m a Canadian citizen and I already started proof of citizenship for our son. My question is do I still need to fill out additional family form for my son even though he is supposed Canadian? Thanks

I would call inmigration to have a better answer on that.

No-one can possibly know, except that the longer it takes for the interview, the longer the process. Obviously if you take the second option, there is a higher chance it will take more than a year (since you applied in May).

So do what you can: try to get him to London for the interview as soon as possible.

Read the instructions carefully. For the additional family information form IMM5406, only dependent children over 18 submit a completed form (info on the child regardless of citizenship is entered on that form for the PA/mother).

On IMM0008 (generic application form), you include all dependant children who are not already permanent residents or citizens; you should not include your son here because he is a Canadian citizen. This is true even if he has not yet received his citizenship documentation - he is a citizen even if he does not have documentation yet (note that I am assuming that you have correctly checked that your citizenship is such that he will receive, i.e. you are not second generation born abroad, etc).

Please also refer to the Checklist form (IMM5533) Section 3 - it tells you to apply for Canadian citizenship for the child, and asks you to include a copy of the documents for your son - including one of passport, citizenship certificate, or proof of application for proof of citizenship (i.e. your citizenship application for your child). You can include a short explanatory note here, i.e. you have a son together and have applied for ctizenship, copy of application attached.

So to sum up: no additional form for child; info on child is included on mother's additional background form IMM5406; info on child is not included in generic application form (i.e. the child is not applying for PR as already a citizen); and you should include something showing you expect your son to receive Canadian citizenship or already has it (you do not need to wait for him to receive his Canadian citizenship).
