Hongera your process is going so fast :) . All the best! I guess wife will be here this month?
Ahsante. I am thankful and surprised how fast this was considering how slow Local visa offices are. We are submitting passport on Monday and hopefully we can receive it back the same week.

I can't help with the file transfer, but I can help with the background check.

Yes it is being processed. In fact, I don't want to get your hopes up, but it may have passed already. My GCkey account was very slow to update- if you look at my post, my background check passed on July 29, but they didn't actually write that until three days ago. Hope it's the same for you!
i appreciate it but i have a feeling it doesnt really mean anything. its been over a month and my file hasnt been transferred. i think this is the trend for most pakistani applicants. it takes usually the full 12 months for us because our files are sent to LVO and they have long processing times.

I applied for Family Class Sponsorship January 2019. I didn't get asked to provide Biometrics, but received a Medical Request and they have approved it. My application was moved to Sydney, Australia, but I have not heard anything. Are any other Australians in a similar boat by not being asked to provide Biometrics? Looking at the 2019 Spousal/Common Law Tracker, it seems like Biometrics were requested almost immediately after the application submission, followed by a Medical Request.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Check on cic website for check application status.
In the primary applicant section it should say.
Usually sponsor gets an email.
Also depends on which country pa is from.

Hey Guys,
Do you think that hurricane that passed over Nova Scotia will hamper it's operations? It's really sad to see what has happened..

Hi All,
I need help regarding this message I got from CPC- Mississauga just now. They need document regarding below query..My spouse is in India. Cleared the medical on September 3rd.
"Supporting identity documents: Birth certificates issued in this country: If a birth is registered
late, include the original baptism certificate and other original documents establishing identity
such as: Old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school
certificate), and Voter's ID card."

I already submitted the the English Birth Certificate (Indian) before with the file. Any idea Why I got this query ? and What to submit now ?
You help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

I was a May applicant for my spouse from Philippines. Received AOR1 in July 20 and nothing since then.
Not sure why there's been complete silence while I see every day others are getting updates. Some even have been reunited with their spouse even if they applied after I did. Perhaps we can find some similarities?
As I said PA is spouse in Philippines.
I, sponsor is a Canadian Citizen.
Both of us this is our first and only marriage.
Both of us have no children and spouse is the only applicant.
6 year age difference between us.
I think I'm a good sponsor.
Nothing bad in myself or my partner's past.

So far only AOR1.
No request for biometrics or medical.
Both Applicant and Sponsor applications are in process and have been since July. No change.

Is it worth contacting CIC? I'm sure I will just be told it can take a year and I just have to wait but I miss my partner dearly and the lack of updates is really stressing out both of us.

I'm also worried they might return my application for whatever reason such as an incomplete form after all this time of waiting. But honestly at least if they did that it would be some activity instead of complete silence.
The anxiety is bad when no updates are provided.

Hi @guldan I’m the PA and I’m also from
PH. My hubby is a PR and is living in Toronto. He actually called CIC today and he was only informed that they’re still reviewing his eligibility. We received AOR1 last June 28 and no update after that. :( We’re like 9-10 applicants who have this scenario and we don’t know what’s really the main reason.
