Quick question guys. My wife finished her medical in august and i havent recieved any news on any file transfer. Im pretty sure that is the next step. But under gckey it says "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.". Does this mean the background check has started? Or will it be started once the file transfer happens? My wife is from Pakistan and i've heard the file usually gets transferred to the London Visa Office and they usually take the full 12 months?

This is our timeline:
May 13, 2019: Application received
Jun 29, 2019: AOR 1
July 13, 2019: Biometrics requested
July 15, 2019: Sponsor approved
July 15, 2019: Medical request
July 23, 2019: Biometrics completed
July 27, 2019: Medical completed

It also says: "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements."

I can't help with the file transfer, but I can help with the background check.

Yes it is being processed. In fact, I don't want to get your hopes up, but it may have passed already. My GCkey account was very slow to update- if you look at my post, my background check passed on July 29, but they didn't actually write that until three days ago. Hope it's the same for you!
