in the file we sent to ircc we put her name as family name and nothing in given name field
You should then put her name in family name and put N/A in the given name.

If you look at the help section right beside the Given Name field,

A given name is the name(s) given to a person at birth and by which that person is most commonly referred to. A person's given name includes his or her first name and middle name.

For example: If a person's name is Mark Paul Jenkins, his given name is Mark Paul. Given name as per your current passport/travel document. If you do not have a given name you may enter N/A in the Given name field.

what i did before your response was i put same name on both sections because both sections were required to fill. with that i left a detailed message in comment box and i also explained that we had her name under family name in the application we sent.
would that be okay ?

that should be ok. Data entry is done manually. So whoever will work on your request will figure it out from your comment and the file number

If you send your application for permanent residence
  • If you submit a complete application and pay the biometrics fee at the same time
    • You’ll get the letter by mail several days or even several weeks after we receive your application and payment.
  • If you pay the biometrics fee after you submit your application
    • It can take several weeks before you get the letter by mail.
Thanks @jasperJ !

is there some on this thread who submitted BM Receipt via web form and how long it took for BM request?
