Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me out with a few questions concerning an Outland Application, TRV, and working while the application is being processed.

Here is my situation: I’m an American married for 8 years to my Canadian wife and we have two children under 4. We are resigning from our jobs in the States and moving to Ontario in July when our lease is up. In early May 2019, we submitted applications for proof of Canadian citizenship for the kids and also submitted an Outland Application for PR for myself.

Here are my questions:

Since we are moving to Ontario in July, do I need a TRV? If so, am I allowed to do that with a pending Outland application?

The company I work for in the States is Canadian based and I might be able to transfer through them to a position in Ontario. Am I allowed to work while the Outland application is being processed?

Thank you in advance for your input!

My application was couriered out May 23rd. How do we know it has been received? I used a local immigration consultant to help file the papers.

you should have gotten Bio-Metric and Medical exam request by now since you have passed 2 months. If i were you, I would reach out to your consultant and ask him/her for your AOR copy that gives you your application number.

Hi Everyone,
It's my first time that I'm posting to seek help, I became PR in 2017.my wife was on work visa in Canada and I was in Pakistan we both applied together she was principle applicant and I was dependent and unfortunately we get divorced, now I'm living in Canada and soon I'm getting married in pakistan and I want to sponsor my spouse to become PR in Canada and live with me.
good luck, but with a failed marriage within 2 years of your sponsorship and then a remarriage and a new sponsorshop by yourself?

No. Because you are from the US and therefore visa exempt you are allowed to come to Canada for 6 months as a visitor. If the application has not finished processing before the 6 months is coming to an end, you must apply to extend your stay in Canada as a visitor.

No PR app gives you status in Canada, so if you move to Canada while an outland app is in process you must maintain legal status.

You cannot work on an outland application as you'll be here as a visitor.

Hello guys!
I have completed filling my forms but am confused with biometrics and paying fees from Kabul Afghanistan. Do I have to create an account and then apply online or what's the procedure? Any help is much much appreciated!
Hey my pa is from Afghanistan too, I applied in March 2019 and didn’t pay biometrics pay at first which I should have done so after a while of processing they asked me to pay and it took 15 days something to get a biometrics request but for some people it took longer so I would suggest u paying at front and make an online account . Also biometrics can’t be done in Afghanistan it’s either in Pakistan or India

Hello guys,

I submitted my Outland spouse sponsorship application to “case processing centre -Sydney , P.O. Box 9500, Sydney NS B1P0H5” sent out on 24th May and received to the office on 27th May. With application received in tracking number.

Looking forward to receive AOR, it look like people getting it 40-45 days as per previous reviews but still keep posted for application submitted in month of May.

Application received by D.J. at above office
Thanks

Hi to All my friends here.

I want to know the most ambiguous case. Translations - > I have sent my wife emails prior to our marriage in English alphabets but the words were in Hindi. Should I go for the translated emails or printouts of normal emails stands okay? Most probably as we are the first group of people submitting after the changes in Check List in April 2019.

How many of you have actually used the translated service?

I've used the translation service as my PA and I didnt have any of our conversations in English. Even though alphabet were English. Due to the change from check list recently, any communication that is not in ENGLISH must be certified translated.
