omg that's so true, I rarely answer strange numbers too, thought that were spams calls and I got charged to my phone bill later lol. I passed test on Mar 10 and scheduled for ceremony April 17 but got cancelled due to covid19. my application is in vancouver ...still waiting for virtual, hopefully coming soon. all the best to everyone )

I have also received those calls and those stupid guys speaking like they are Canadians loll poor guys

Happy Canada Day everyone!

I'm still waiting for my invite to the citizenship test. Does anyone know when IRCC is starting organizing the tests again? Or for how long won't they start for certain?

I was first invited in Nov 2019 but I couldn't go, so I sent an email with some explanation. That delayed the process by at least 4 months (tests/oath ceremonies got cancelled in March). Now I'd like to travel abroad to visit my family, but I don't want to risk having to postpone the test once more, in case I get the invite on a short notice (as there's still a 2-week long mandatory quarantine after returning to Canada). So is the best course of action to just stay put for another X months? :/

Tests are possible with physical distancing, we have schools re-opening and gyms and most stores. Would it really be so hard to have people sitting distant from each other? Its not like this is a full semester lecture, its a 30 minute test.

Good day!

Took our virtual oath yesterday. 5 families were on it but one family keeps getting bumped out of the zoom application. We didn't sing the national anthem, just the Oath and it took only 30mins for the whole process. The judge and the team are so helpful and patient so it makes it easier for all of us.

When was his original oath-taking date? Did they call your friend or they inform him through email?

I was supposed to have my oath taking on Mar 16, but was cancelled due to covid and until now I haven't got any invite.

Hello Everyone, I took my Virtual Oath today. It went well.. It was just me and the Judge and the IRCC representative from the Windsor Ontario office.. I just wanted to say thank you everyone for your help and your encouragement during this process. I did not sing the national anthem at all and you ceremony was 30 mins long. My journey with immigration have finally come to an end. It started out rough but with the grace of God. Nothing is impossible at all.

One is for July 22 and other for July 27. I think they both got emails. Didn't mention about any phone call.

Not sure. I checked with one guy last weekend, and he said he didn't get it yet.

Can i know if file gets transferred to windsor after AOR? I am waiting for AOR hence asking on it. I am windsor resident.

Proud to be Canadian. Completed my Oath today. Thanks to all the folks on Canada Visa to make this journey a easy one.
Complete process took 30 mins. The judge and IRCC facilitator were super nice. Took their own time to explain the process and after the oath explained about passport application.
