At last the citizenship journey comes to an end. Lots of ups and downs, joy and sorrow, tensed period and sleepless nights brings a sweet pleasure at the end. Have done my citizenship ceremony today and became a proud Canadian citizen. The process seems a long one at times but finally just took about seven months for us.

I am waiting, but you gave your test in Scarbrough, most of the people who gave test there were invited to oath the next day. Was just wondering if you were asked to submit any additional docs ?

Well I had my test and interview at Scarborough office on the 6th of December and no oath invite yet even though decision was made the following day. So I am kind of wondering why others are getting their oath invite right away and why some of us have to wait forever plus my background was completed on July 6th as I was told by CSIS. Maybe it's just luck or the agents.

I am officially Canadian!! I had my test yesterday at Scarborough office (20/20) and was asked if I was free/available for the Oath the next day!! I couldn’t believe my luck!

so I just finished the ceremony and now I am proudly Canadian! Thanks to everyone who helped me on this chat and looking forward to hearing more good news from all of you!
