Hi everyone,
I finished my Oath ceremony on Feb 6 in Calgary and became citizen. I have to say Calgary office is very efficient and considerate. I even managed to get my Canadian passport on Feb 7 by 1:30pm when I applied at 11am so within 2.5 hrs!!!!
Anyone who has emergency such as mine when I was travelling to France on Feb 7 know that getting passport made in couple hours is possible. You just have to make sure you have your guarantor and references ready to pick a call. Passport office actually called them when I was still at the counter. Also make sure you bring your confirmed flight ticket and other supporting documents to suffice your situation entails urgent processing.
Wooow! that's incredibly impressive Good luck .
Good luck everyone!
Congratulations. Did you take oath in English or both languages?Hi everyone,

There isn't really separate sessions for each language. You can just choose to not speak in one of the languages as oath taking in both languages takes places back-to-back. Though make sure you are speaking those words in one of the languages as I saw couple officers roaming around and checking us out when allegiance was being made. I wondered if they might just cancel/delay someones application if found not speaking those wordsCongratulations. Did you take oath in English or both languages?
It might be safe to say in both languages even if you know only one of them...lolThere isn't really separate sessions for each language.
