Okay guys, simmer down.

I know your frustration is boiling over and i completely understand and relate.

But getting worked up over it won't help, cooler heads prevail.

Let's put it this way, our applications can't be less processed than they were yesterday, there must be some movement on the files.

Each person's file is different, and it's also why we can't compare our timelines to anyone else, each application is unique.

Of course, i agree that intuitively someone who is AOR June/July getting their PPR before us seems unfair.

But let's be happy for them and be optimistic that we will get ours hopefully soon as well.

Let's think positively.

Hi Guys,

I have a query if someone can help. My file is in New Delhi visa office and there has been no change in the status. Is there anyone in the same situation. I raised a webform I get the standard reply. Also requested for GCMS.. It's been more than 8 months. My AOR is May 3rd and my online application says medicals passed, biometrics completed. I tried calling IRCC using TEXTNOW app unfortunately it does not get connected..Is there any other way to get information.

Ay help would be highly appreciated

I seriously hate Sydney VO now and I will rate this office 0 stars but so what....it is very unorganized and I think a lot of political/bureaucracy in this office...officer and staff probably just sit back and take their own time and joke about us....they don't need to hold accountability because nobody will judge their work anyway...everyone worked there is citizen already and they never understand the new immigrants, they found a job at government and this is it....even Canada Prime minister can't deal with himself

Anyway...I think there is at least some movement/update of your file which is better than most of us here. Re-medical is a bit surprise because most of the time they will just extend your medical...can you try to call them and let them you know can landed before March 14th so the medical is still valid?
If you already in canda you should know that government workes are do not have promotion on skill based just on time base. + they all equal on same positions so once you got position in government thing you don't really need to put effort into your work. And it's not only sydney it's just everywhere lol

Hi,

Did you try calling them on their US/Canada number? That’s where I tried to reach them at and was able to get through twice.

Yes I understand lol ...just express my anger and disappointment here. We experienced when we deal with driver license, service Canada, Medical service, city project, public transport etc

No just Gov...in general a lot of people in Canada including me don't necessary put 110% at work ~

Yes I tried ~ the first 6 months I was still cool ~ even lot of Ottawa folks got it earlier or on time

by 7 months, I did what you said and still remained positive

In 8 months, i tried my best and did what you said and pretend to remain positive

beyond 8 months...I will keep trying lol

Hi all,

I know there is a lot of reasons to be frustrated with the processing time and immigration process in general. I know this so well since I have been dealing with IRCC for 10 years now. Following is my story:

I came to Canada in 2010 as a student and studied for 3 years. After graduating in August 2013 it took me about a year to find a job. By the time I was ready to apply for CEC pre-EE, Express Entry was introduced.
At this point I was qualified to apply for PR but could not because I didnt have enough points. I continued to work for another year but even after 2 years for NOC type A Canadian work experience in 2016, I didnt have enough points. At this point my work permit has ended and I had to leave Canada.

I took up a consulting job with Canadian company's Indian division. Added another 1 year of Indian work experience to list and save $13,000.

Finally in the April of 2018, I scored R:9, W:8, L:9 and S:8 in IELTS and my points were 474. I got a invitation and applied for PR in May 2018.

In December, 6 months after i applied I found out that my file hasnt been touched in 4 months. This made me very furious but the time I had already committed towards this process helped me stay calm.

And then on Jan 13, 2020, I got the PPR. I have submitted my passport and waiting for rest of it.

Hopefully my story will help some people stay calm. There is a lot involved post landing in Canada. I suggest you start researching into those things.

Did you say you applied in May 2018 and got the PPR in Jan 2020? That would mean a processing time of 20 months! Is that right?

Check other CEC / or Sydney forums. I saw ppl there with 29 months processing time at sydney.)
I have heard those stories but I thought that those cases took so long because it was difficult to verify information on the application or the background check took too long due to travel to countries which are considered war zones (for example - Libya).

Thank you for your post.

What is the reason for taking so long ?? Took 20 months to process make me even more stressful lol

I am CEC Inland so I am in Canada already...but still want to get the status earlier so I can move on my next plan/life decision

I understand everyone wait that long and I don't just speak to myself ...I believe everyone want to get it asap
