Hello Everyone,
I have just joined this forum and still figuring out how to get some information about contacting/calling up Canada Immigration office that can share the status of the application. The number available online doesn't seem to be accurate.

AOR : 2 May
Medical passed : 11 June
Biometrics completed : 20 June
No update since then.

Hi Guys,
Recd PPR a few days back. Thank you to all for the guidance+info and most importantly for the good banter on the forum – made the wait more bearable. Below are the details

Stream: FSW-O, India
ITA: 1 May 2019
AOR: 26 May 2019
MEP/BIL : 6 Jul 2019
GU: 1st update ~10 Jul 2019, 2nd update: 11 Oct 2019
PPR: 12 Oct 2019
VO: Ottawa
NOC : 0111
Family: 3 including self
Travel history:
- Self: UK on work, short vacations in Europe & SEA
- spouse: Singapore & HK on work, short vacations in Europe & SEA

IRCC communication:
- Called IRCC once on 30 Aug; Eligibility in progress, Background not started.
- Ordered GCMS on Sep 10, recd comm on Oct 2 that they will take 90 days more; not recd yet
- Emailed once to VO Ottawa on Sep 17 asking them status; got a std reply that application is in queue for review
- No Webforms or emails to MPs
Firstly congratulations. I have an AOR of 23rd May. I was wondering whether calling in for GCMS notes at this point will be helpful. My status of background check is that we are processing... Been like that for ages it seems after the medical and biometrics. Any suggestions will be helpful

I was wondering about ordering GCMS notes too, but I finally ordered. Nothing harm will come out of it, at least you might have a satisfaction that you tried everything in your power to get to know what's happening. Some have said ordering notes retriggers application processing but I am highly skeptical about it.

Hi,While using getgcms.com...can we apply apply on our own?Or do we have to find a person in Canada? Can anyone explain about the procedure please.
If you are using getgcms you can apply on your own, the team from getgcms will send you the steps and it is very straightforward. I had requested GCMS notes twice from USA.

There is no information to prove that ordering GCMS notes re-triggers/accelarates or causes issues for your application. It is part of the Right to informaiton act so you SHOULD order GCMS notes if the process is taking longer than required.

Can someone explain what's the sequence of steps in approval? Eligibility - medical - security - criminality? Which takes most time?
Or there isn't any sequence at all and is it just random?

Its all random, however eligibility includes background checks and hence is passed at the end. Your education, POF, reference letter checks and security/criminality can go in parallel as well.
