May 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

My ECAS is updated for test invite, but have not received email so far:
We sent you a notice on May 7, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 23, 2019 at 1:30 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

A quick question:

We haven't received any update for our 8 year old son. A minor he will not have to appear for the test but should he accompany us to the test/interview. Moreover his status is unchanged - still shows in process with no added line. Should we call for any update regarding him or it is normal?

I have read in many threads here that minors are not allowed in test, and their status will keep showing in process until the decision made after test

Believe me people have said No abruptly and it was accepted.

I have seen two people forgot to bring documents and was told to go home and bring it on same day.


One lady forgot her passport and was requested by officer to present her passport on the same day ( How cool was that )

Another gentleman was suggested to do translation for Dubai stamp and a

Minors status will remain in-process.

My application was received on 7th May 2018, received invite exactly after 1 year

Hey! Thanks for asking.
Wait until the end of today. I have a strong feeling that they’ll send you an email. If you don’t receive anything then please call them tomorrow and ask. You may also send a webform to them.
