I am also waiting for Oath invite since 26th Jan. We are a family of 4.

I observed that Scarborough CIC is hosting Oath ceremonies in Milner Ave whole of April. However don't see anyone in this forum getting an invite for Oath there. I wonder who is getting invitations for these ceremonies.

Someone mentioned the order of oath is based on your country of origin in order to keep the people in the ceremony diverse enough. As a result, indian/chinese/iranian applicants will wait for the longest.

Sighhhhh

interesting to know. Given that maximum immigrants are Asians not sure how they can achieve it.

We also attended the citizenship ceremony today in Vancouver (77 new citizens from 21 different countries). I would like to thank everyone here for the last time.

On a personal note: for all the talking about celebrating differences and diversity, I do hope that my kid (Canadian born and raised) will one day celebrate her authentic Canadian culture, rather than that of our home country. It is the similarity (in culture, upbringing, history etc.) and the shared folklore, and not the difference, that eventually gives rise to togetherness and solidarity between people. There is more to living in a country than minding one's own business. Just my two cents.

Good luck to everyone!

I don’t think they schedule oath based on country of origin. I am Indian and I have completed my oath. In our oath ceremony there were 125 people taking oath, most of them were Asian.

Attended oath ceremony yesterday at Mississauga. Thanks to sunnybh for managing the file updates and others for providing valuable information.
To apply for pp i need identity proof, citizenship certificate, application form, photos signed by guarantor, is there anything that's needed for new citizens?
The checklist refers to valid travel document. PR card was taken away during ceremony. There are no other valid travel docs. COPR i don't think is a travel doc.
thanks

Out of curiosity, have you guys noticed Canada Government or CIC visiting your LinkedIn profile after your application changed to "In Process"? it may be just a coincidence but I've noticed that a couple times, second one as recent as this week. I've been waiting since August 1st, 2018 when they started processing my app. My friend sent her app out on the same week I did (from Vancouver and me from Toronto). She already got her Canadian passport a couple weeks ago... ugh
