Imagine dating someone vs marrying. When you start dating you may be processing so many qualities but you don't take that long before you update your fb status. When you are getting married you are almost there with just one document to consider but you will take so much more time and effort, involve so many people (community, faith, law, family) before you are officially married. Turning off a bf/gf status (deporting a PR) is easy, not so much with the latter. So due diligence is required because you can't blame anyone else. :)
Ofcourse there are exceptions. If you claim asylum (get pregnant) and jump the hoop
Lol! I like the analogy you have used. But yes, that probably makes the most sense. It's sooo crappy to keep waiting though because one cannot plan anything.

Any time is busy, you should try different times repeatedly, it always worked for me.

I have tried about 11 times. No luck so far. May have to wait until tomorrow morning. :(

"It is also your responsibility to bring with you photocopies of your passports and all travel documents in your possession valid and expired".
Anybody knows why they ask to bring photocopies of passport to the test/interview?
Many thanks,
Hi,
I have the same question.
Did you finally bring the photocopies of your passports or the original was enough?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Yessss! Also I think different cities have different processing times. It seems like Calgary is so much faster than Toronto. Most of the May applicants have received their Oath invites and most of the May applicants in Toronto are still waiting for the test.

I called CIC today and got connected after the 6th attempt, waited 30 minutes to have the same answer, I said that I applied in May 30th 2018 (Montreal) and My application is in process since August 13, 2018 ...it seems a bit long ...8 months since I applied. so she said the local office have 12 months to finalize your application.. I don't know how are they going to achieve that if I am not schedule to test by end of Feb and have ceremony 3 months after .. seems very tight but the problem is there is no logic behind ! they make it sound its back log but why some people within the same city are getting finalized much earlier than others applying on the same time.

that is correct...... i called cic she said ur case can go up to June so it is normal that you are still waiting for your next step, the test..........

I am completely speechless. I get more than 50% of immigrants are in Toronto, but can they hire more employees to process cases in Toronto then?
