Hi Jangotrick.
I check my status like you said,, saying that they start processing my app on AUG 7,hope , they said also that they sent me a discovered Canada but I did not received it,,
There is a saying there that update the address and mailing address, do I need to update that. I did not move since I got here I still same same place where I am,,,
THANK YOU IN A MILLION FOR YOUR ADVICE,,,

It shows your status as "In Process" which means that they are working through your file before they give you a test date. You can order a Discover Canada book free of cost or download this book free of cost at the link below

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ate/publications-manuals/discover-canada.html

The Update your mailing address is a standard button in case you have moved. As you have not moved, you do not have to do anything.

You are very close to getting a test date, so, do start preparing for the test. Good Luck.

I was told by my lawyer that if you cross the border, even for 1 hour, you have to put it, because you did entered another country.

You do have to show every exit and entry in your citizenship application even if it is for few hours. If you entered and exited or vice versa the same day, they will consider that you have been absent for a day. Accordingly, add up your total number of days.

To clarify: as you say, even daytrips must be entered.

But they do not count as absences. As long as you spent at least a second in Canada on any given day it counts as physical presence.

That doesn't change that even the shortest trips must be listed, as you already said.

I start to use this website to do the tests http://www.citizenshipcounts.ca

but do we just choose the province where we live for the quiz or we have to do all the provinces ?

I AM ASKING THIS FOR PR CARD RENEWAL AS THERE IS A SECTION WHICH SAYS ABSENCES ONLY, FOR CITIZENSHIP I HAVE ALREADY MENTIONED.

Yes, study by the province as there is the likelihood that you may get some local questions.
Thank you so much ! You have been very helpful for everyone on this forum!!

An April application who completed his test on 5 Nov and DM on 07 Nov got Oath date on 07 Feb. Though, Feb 7 still shows no ceremony online. it seems things are moving fast.

Those are waiting around the same time should get their soon as well.

Hey guys, I'm a London ON, applicant. started my process on 26/4/2018, AOR on 12/6/2018, In Process since 31/7/2018, since then there have been no changes or updates on my Ecas, called CIC many many times with absolutely no help of giving anything more than "your application looks normal, no notes, nothing to worry about, and by the way, we have until the end of April 2019" ..... to be honest, it's very F*** frustrating to wait this long with no update, and at the same watch lots of people who applied after me and got their test, interviews and ceremonies done!! so if you're from London ON, or have a similar timeline then please leave a comment with your experience

The CIC agent can see the oath date fixed and it may take some time for the oath letter to the generated through the automated system. The reason for the delay is that if someone is unable to attend the oath, CIC can replace that seat with someone else from a forward date.
