Guys , I was asked to submit the fingerprints on sep 17 and I did it on around Oct 8th with some firm !! The fingerprints were sent right away to RCMP and then later I have received from RCMP letter last week after Oct 16th sending me the fingerprints !!
My question is does RCMP send the fingerprints directly to CIC ? I should submit it in 30 days so do you think I am
Late ?

The third party sends it to RCMP and RCMP sends it to the immigration office that made the request after processing. I do not think it should have been sent to you but it appears that the firm that carried out the finger print mistakenly put your address as the requester instead of the CIC zonal office. I called RCMP 3 days after mine was done and they told me it had been processed and sent to the CIC office in Vancouver and that it takes about 10 working days to get to them. I am a Calgary applicant. You should call RCMP to find out why they had to send it to you as that will guide you on the next line of action to take.

Hi,

I have completed my citizenship test on Thursday 18th Oct and my ecas status changed to decision made on Friday 19th Oct.

Sunnybh, thanks for updating the status.

FYI...the immigration officer checked each and every line of physical presence calculator against the stamps in the passport....and she mentioned it may take 1 to 2 months for oath email.

Good luck for all who are going to take test in near future.

Hi admin, please update my status on spread sheet and sharing some personal experiences..

Test invitation letter: Oct 2
Test/interview date: Oct 22

I took my test early in the morning today and it was a smooth process, went in to the office and the reception will give you a green paper to fill out some of your personal information while waiting for the test to start. A group will all go in together into the room and test time is 30 mins only. Most people finished the test less than 30 mins and after submitting the answer you will go back to the waiting area until an officer call your name for an interview. The interview is a casual one to test your language ability and officer will be checking your IDs including your PR card (remember to bring other provincial IDs as well - driver license and health card). The officer told me the testing result right away (I passed! :) )and at the end told me they will go through my application again and if everything is good they will send me a letter and the oath ceremony will not be later than May 2019. The whole process was about a bit over an hour.

Good luck to you all :)

Just got off the call with CIC call center agent - wanted to know in which processing center is my application being reviewed.. turns out CIC system is down and agents can no longer access any applications whatsoever.

Did they give an ETA on when it will be back up?
